Frequently Asked Questions

Why your website is in English?

Unfortunately, most of Android devices at the moment don’t support Perso-Arabic script and we don’t want to miss that majority. That’s why we’ve worked on the operating system in a project called FarsiTel, before releasing this marketplace. We’ll switch this website to Persian language as more Android devices become capable of displaying Persian texts.

Why your apps are in English?

They are not! All the apps were developed mainly in Persian for FarsiTel but unfortunately many devices don’t support Perso-Arabic script. Shame on them! Therefore, we had to translate all the apps into English in order to make them usable on other devices. If you change your device’s language into Persian all the local apps will be viewed in Persian.

Why not Android Market?

Android is an open-source platform developed mainly by Google and distributed at no cost. On the contrary, Android Market is a non-open-source application owned and operated by Google. Thus far, Android Market is not available in any of the Middle East countries. Until Android Market is launched in a country, it can not appear on local devices. They basically took away “Appiness” from the region with no exact date of returning it. This fact made us to roll up our sleeves and create a local marketplace.

What kind of apps are available on Bazaar?

Metro, Athan Time, Poem Time, Qibla Compass, etc. are some of the quality local applications on Bazaar together with many other popular free apps from the other parts of the world. Other Iranian apps are under heavy development by our company. We also hope to attract apps from other developers.

Are you charging users for the service?

No.

If you are not earning, how do you want to sustain?

We have our in-app advertisement platform called Adad to earn and continue our software developments. No money, no local app!

Are you making money from somebody else’s work?

Absolutely not! The apps related to Iran which are not developed in-house at Iranian Congenial Mobile Co are published with the permission of their developers. The rest of the apps are free-to-download apps from Android Market. There is no cracked application on Bazaar.

What is your main goal?

Bazaar enables developers and entrepreneurs to create local apps and generate revenue by paving ways to offer and monetize their applications in Iran.

Can I distribute my applications through Bazaar?

Of course. If you’re an Android application developer and interested in cooperating with us please contact us through developers@cafebazaar.ir.

Are you looking for an app?
